The holiday spirit was alive and well at the Mike Choate Center as families gathered to celebrate a festive tradition with a twist. FUESD custodian Dennis Jenkins donned the red suit and white beard, transforming into Santa Claus to spread joy and cheer to the little ones just before the holiday break.
But Santa didn’t arrive in a sleigh this year. Instead, he made a grand entrance in a gleaming, vintage 1957 Chevy, adding a touch of retro charm to the event. Families were delighted by the unique sight, and children couldn’t wait to share their Christmas wishes with Santa.
Parents and kids lined up to take photos with the jolly old man himself, capturing memories of this special holiday moment. The event brought smiles and laughter to everyone in attendance, creating a heartwarming start to the holiday season.
The Mike Choate Center’s Santa visit has become a beloved tradition, and this year’s classic car twist made it all the more magical.
