The Rotary Club of Fallbrook once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to the local community by hosting the annual Welcome Back BBQ for the Faculty and Staff of the Fallbrook Union Elementary School District (FUESD) on Thursday, August 8th, at the beautiful Ingold Sports Park. This cherished event marks the official start of the new school year and serves as a heartfelt celebration of the dedication, passion, and hard work exhibited by the entire FUESD team.

The event saw a tremendous turnout, with staff members from across the district gathering at Ingold Field, which was buzzing with excitement and camaraderie. The Rotary Club of Fallbrook treated attendees to a classic barbecue experience, serving up mouth-watering burgers with all the fixings, alongside crispy chips, juicy watermelon, and a sweet assortment of cookies for dessert. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, conversation, and a shared sense of purpose as colleagues reconnected after the summer break and prepared for the year ahead.

Long-time Rotarian and FUESD partner Dale Mitchell played a pivotal role in organizing the day’s festivities. His efforts, along with those of the dedicated Rotary Club volunteers, ensured that the event was a resounding success. The barbecue would not have been possible without the generous support of community partners, including Grocery Outlet, Grand Tradition, Ingold Sports Park, and the Fallbrook Food Pantry. These organizations contributed significantly to the event, further highlighting the strength of the community’s commitment to FUESD.

“We are incredibly grateful to the Rotary Club of Fallbrook for their continued support and recognition of our commitment to our students and community,” said Seth Trench, FUESD Director of Communications. “This event is a wonderful way to start the school year, and it’s a reminder of the important role that community partnerships play in our success. The positive feedback we’ve received from our staff is a testament to how much they appreciate the Rotary Club’s efforts and the warm welcome they’ve provided as we embark on a new academic year.”

The BBQ has become a beloved tradition within the FUESD community, symbolizing the collaborative spirit that drives the district’s success. As educators and staff gear up for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead, the Rotary Club of Fallbrook’s support serves as a powerful reminder of the shared commitment to fostering a nurturing, high-quality educational environment for every student.
