Live Oak Elementary, a proud member of the Fallbrook Union Elementary School District, recently hosted a delightful event that brought parents, students, and staff together for an afternoon of fun, togetherness, and community building.
The “Lunch at the Lawn” event, held on March 1st, transformed the school’s picturesque outdoor space into a vibrant gathering place for families. Parents and students were invited to join their children on campus for a special lunchtime experience, creating cherished memories in the process.
Seth Trench, Communications Director for Live Oak Elementary, expressed his admiration for the turnout, stating, “It’s truly amazing to witness such a turnout of FUESD families. It speaks volumes about the incredible job Live Oak Teachers and staff have done in fostering a thriving school culture.”
The event featured a variety of activities designed to engage attendees of all ages, from lively games to interactive experiences. Families virtually covered the entire acre-wide field with blankets and chairs, creating cozy spots to enjoy the festivities and strengthening the bonds within the school community.
A highlight of the event was the delicious food provided by Child Nutrition Services. Parents and students had the opportunity to indulge in mouthwatering pizza and a salad bar filled with fresh, locally-sourced vegetables, highlighting the district’s commitment to providing nutritious and tasty meals to its students.
As the day came to a close, attendees reflected on the joyous moments shared and the connections strengthened. “Lunch at the Lawn” served as a heartwarming reminder of the power of community and the importance of coming together as one big family.
