FUESD Schools Celebrate Successful Back to School Nights

FSA Principal Ana Arias, FUESD Superintendent Monika Hazel, and “Education Begins in the Home” Founder Edward Becerra at the FSA Back to School Night

FUESD Schools, Fallbrook STEM Academy, Potter Jr. High, and Mary Fay Pendleton School, each hosted amazing Back to School Nights this week. These events were a testament to the energy, enthusiasm, and dedication of both staff and families as they came together to kick off the new school year.

At Fallbrook STEM Academy, the Back to School Night was met with an impressive turnout, transforming the evening into a true community celebration. The presence of food trucks added a festive touch, while community resources such as the food pantry and the Latino Literacy Program provided valuable support to attendees. A particularly heartwarming moment was the return of former students, who came back to visit their teachers, underscoring the strong connections and lasting relationships fostered at the school.

Potter Jr. High’s Back to School Night focused on academic rigor and student engagement. Parents and students had the opportunity to meet with teachers and learn about the various programs and initiatives designed to support student success. The event highlighted the strong partnership between the school and the community, demonstrating Potter Jr. High’s commitment to creating an environment where every student can thrive.

Mary Fay Pendleton School also hosted a successful Back to School Night, where the emphasis was on building strong connections between families and the school community. Parents had the opportunity to engage with teachers and staff, learning more about the school’s programs and initiatives. The evening was marked by a spirit of collaboration and a shared commitment to supporting student growth and achievement.

These Back to School Nights marked a fantastic start to the new school year, setting the stage for continued collaboration between schools, families, and the community. FUESD is eager to see the great things that will unfold in the months ahead as everyone works together to support student success.
