The Fallbrook Union Elementary School District (FUESD) proudly hosted the Super Summer Sports STEAM Showcase today at Mary Fay Pendleton School and La Paloma Elementary School. This event celebrated the culmination of the district’s Super Summer Camp, highlighting the incredible activities and projects students have engaged in throughout the summer.
Both Mary Fay Pendleton School and La Paloma Elementary welcomed parents, FUESD leaders, school board members, and community members. Attendees had the opportunity to visit classrooms, speak with educators, and witness impressive student STEAM presentations, showcasing the diverse talents and hard work of the participants.
The Super Summer Camp, running from July 9 to July 26, 2024, provided a unique and engaging program designed to offer enriching experiences for students. Held at La Paloma Elementary for students entering Kindergarten through 6th grade and Potter Jr. High for students entering 7th and 8th grade, the camp was completely free for all participants.
The camp featured a wide array of activities catering to the diverse interests and needs of students. Hands-on STEM projects were designed to spark curiosity and innovation. Arts and crafts workshops encouraged self-expression. Physical activities and games promoted fitness and teamwork. Engaging reading sessions and literacy games enhanced language skills. Exciting field trips to local attractions and educational sites provided further enrichment.
